My sister Lynsey, her friend Kim, and my mom are all in town this week visiting the Big Apple. We started the trip with a full day#–up in the morning for breakfast at the SoHo Grill in Astoria, then off to church at Riverside Church, a quick coffee and dessert at Cafe Lalo on the Upper West Side, then photos in Central Park. We walked from the 79th Street entrance near the Dela Corte Theater all the way through the Bramble, past the Dairy, and out at Columbus Circle and Time Warner Center. Phew! We ordered pizza from Papa John’s while we were still on the train and met the delivery guy at the apartment… just in time to catch Desperate Housewives and Grey’s Anatomy. Yes, a long day… but so much fun!
And in sharp contrast to the folks back home in Missouri… apparently last night saw a lot of tornado activity in Nixa, and I’ve heard that some of my friends have lost their homes. I don’t know a lot of details yet, and it makes it hard to concentrate at work. I hope everyone is well…
