yes, i am an actor.
yes, my script was in project greenlight, sponsored (or endorsed) by matt damon.
no, i do not know matt damon. i’m sure he’s a nice guy, and he does pick better projects than ben affleck, but i’ve never met him and i had no influence over bourne being from nixa.
it’s weird#–people in my hometown know i’m an actor, they see nixa pop up in a movie, and they assume i had something to do with it. i only wish i were so lucky! as much as i can figure, either a screenwriter or someone else involved in the plotting thought using nixa as bourne’s hometown would be a toot. i do however one day hope to learn the mystery#–perhaps from the dvd?
i do know a david webb#–but he owns a chain of quilt stores and was born in shreveport, la. by the by, there is no hospital in nixa#–so bourne must have been born at home. and back in the mid seventies, the population of nixa was barely a few thousand#–like, less than 3k. so i’m guessing jason (or david) must have come to his mother as a very sudden surprise.
now, having said all this: matt, you’re more than welcome to give me a call about any of the projects i’m currently creating. i’m sure we could work out some kind of under-five role for you. and if you really need me i guess i could swing some work on one of your projects as well. but please, please, if given the chance…make me bourne’s arch enemy#–with a secret identity as a former branson pirate.
Your sense of houmor is wonderous! After watcing the movie we discussed the Nixa, Mo. We figured that since Brad Pitt was form Springfield and Matt a Brad have worked together maybe matt had visited the area..and somehow decided to use it in the movie. You are right NO hospital in Nixa so where was “David Webb” born? The next episode, if there is one, could be filed in NIXA! Good luck with your career, you will be on my watch list.!
they need to have a secret CIA base in Stone county, located in the depths of a cave formerly used by the James gang. then there could be a massive underground chase sequence that moves outside and onto combines, ultimately ending in bourne using one of those spiked hay loaders to impale his vague european evil nemesis.

I just saw The Bourne Identity and The Bourne Supremacy. Yes, I realize I’m behind the times. Anyway, I used to live in Nixa and graduated from Nixa High School, and was totally freaked out when I got to the end of The Bourne Supremacy. I found this while trying to figure out what link Nixa had to anybody involved in the movie.
Oh, and you are right, there is no hospital. That is going to change soon, very soon. St. John’s has a hospital being built as I type this (or maybe it is finished, I graduated in 2004, and it was still being worked on then).
